Can anyone point me in the right direction to apply for a CL under the
old criteria. Both the online form and online submission ask to list
all 10 projects in the new Competent Leadership manual. But, our member
completed it last term according to the old criteria.
Many thanks

I've heard you can get it if you send it by fax, but I haven't tried
it, so I don't know this for a fact. You might want to would verify
this with WHQ first.
Good luck.

Look for the Advanced Leader - Bronze application. The abbreviation is
probably ALB or AL/B or AL-B. This replaces the old CL.

For the old CL, you must use the old form and submit it by mail or fax.
You cannot use the online submission.

If the requirements for the new AL-Bronze are the same as those for the
old CL, can't the AL-Bronze form be used? I thought the whole idea was
that the old designations were not going to be awarded for applications
sent after June 30, 2006, even if all of the requirements were met by
that date. So, if the person is going to be getting an AL-Bronze anyway,
why can't the new AL-Bronze form be used? Or is this one not online yet?
I'd guess that if Toastmasters International were to receive an old CL
application now, either they'd reject it (I wouldn't put it past them)
or process it as an AL-Bronze.

Peole who have CTM as of June 30 and want to get the old CL they have a
grace period until June 30, 2006. The "new" AL-Bronze is not exactly
equivalnet to the old CL because it requires completion of the new CL.
Once you get the old CL, you can continue to AL-silver.
Of course, they can complete the new CL if they want more paperwork and
more time along the track. |

Hi PC
I believe the grace period ends on June 30, 2008.
As I will be pursuing the old CL and would like very much to be able to
get the award based on the old CL (though I intend to work through the
new manual to answer questions and concerns of members having to go
through it - I've already started), where is this elusive form referred
to in a previous email?
Is there a copy someone can email to me please?
Many thanks and warmest regards
Jean

Thanks for the correction, Jean. June 30, 2008 is the end of the Grace
period.
You can find the form in some of the advanced manuals (same form used
for DTM). You can also find it on the web if you google for
"Toastmasters award application 1209 .pdf" without quotes. Just make
sure it's the old form.

Thanks p c!!! Found it an have it printed out and filled in as much as
I can right now. I've been invited to do an Educational workshop at
the D1 Area Conference in Austria in October. That will be one of the
two educationals I list on the form. One more to go (perhaps during
the Speechcraft I'm starting in September) and I'll be able to get this
faxed over and accomplish my CL. Everything else is good to go!
Warmest regards
Jean
