Haven't received them in the mail yet, but my AL-S and DTM are now
officially listed on my district's educational award list.

You are probably also the very first person in your district to get the
new leadership award. Congrats!

I hadn't thought of that. Were they awarded prior to June 30 (say, if
someone had already completed district office requirements and then wrapped
up their HPL project)?

Looks like my district had four DTMs awarded in July, and I know all off the
other three. Didn't realize it was official until i received a
congratulatory email from one of the others.

Congrats Colin, I think I'l about 2 years away *sigh*

4 speeches left for ATM-B (Yes, I'm going to complete the old track, I
have no interesting a CC designation).

My AL should be complete at the end of my term as AG since I plan to
fulfull the requirements during the term.

I think the ATM-G will be my hardest goal. We'll see.

Do you get the choice? I filed an old form asking for a simple AL
designation, but instead I got AL-Silver. if the requirements are the same
then you may just get the new one whether you want it or not...

I think to get the old designation you have to file the paperwork rather
than complete the online application.

That's what I had to do, actually, since the online award apps were not
available in July. So I had a form from one of my original ATM packets from
years ago.

That is very true. However, it is much easier to do that with the basic
manual. I found the advanced manuals I did, even the ones I enjoyed,
extremely restrictive. That's why I have completed only 4 advanced manuals
and am two speeches away from my 16th CTM.
